Drugs and ‘numerous dangerous weapons’ seized after teenager is arrested in Hartlepool raid


Drugs and weapons were seized after a teenager was arrested as part of an ongoing police operation.

Cleveland Police said the 19-year-old girl was detained at a property in Percy Street, Hartlepool, on Monday, November 17, at 9am. A further warrant was executed in Middlesbrough where a 16-year-old boy was arrested.

Both were arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of class B drugs in connection with an ongoing investigation by the force’s dedicated drugs unit.

They have since been released on conditional bail while inquiries continue.

Police said they seized drugs and numerous dangerous weapons during the searches.

A spokesperson for the force’s dedicated drugs unit said afterwards: “The activity that occurred yesterday is as a result of information that we continue to receive in relation to organised crime.

“It led to two arrests relating to an ongoing investigation and resulted in a quantity of drugs and numerous knives being seized.”
