Calgary police arrested two men on drug distribution and exporting offences after 60 kilograms of cannabis resin were found in luggage at the Calgary International Airport.
The two suspects, 27-year-old Kody Carl Klimove and 34-year-old Corey Daniel Airhart, were each charged with possession for the purpose to distribute and possession with the intent to export.arrested
At 8 a.m. on Nov. 14, the Canadian Air Transport Security Authority called for assistance after opening four checked bags that were flagged during routine X-ray screening.
Inside, screening officers found vacuum-sealed packages wrapped in plastic.
Testing by law enforcement confirmed the presence of drugs.
The suitcases were believed to contain hashish, which weighed a total of 60 kg and held an estimated street value of $1.2 million.

Both men were arrested without incident when they boarded a plane heading to Vancouver.
Calgary police believe the suspects planned to travel to Sri Lanka through connecting flights.
The two suspects will appear in court on Jan. 14, 2026.
