Two men and a woman were arrested and drugs with an estimated street value of around £30,000 seized by police during a proactive search operation in Lurgan on Thursday 20 November

The drugs were recovered along with several thousand pounds in cash and other items of drug paraphernalia during a search of a property and vehicle under the Misuse of Drugs Act by the Lurgan Neighbourhood Policing Team in the Grattan Street area.

A significant quantity of suspected cocaine, prescription medications including various benzodiazepines, and cannabis have now been seized and removed from possible distribution in the Lurgan community.

Local Chief Inspector Tim Flanigan said: “Drugs don’t just harm the individuals who use them – they tear at the fabric of our community. They fuel addiction, increase vulnerability, drive anti-social behaviour, and bring fear and exploitation to our streets. Every seizure helps disrupt this cycle and protects the most vulnerable.

Operations like this would not be possible without vital information provided by members of the public. Your vigilance and willingness to speak up make a real difference.

If you have concerns or information about drugs or criminal activity in your area, please continue to report it. Together, we can keep our community safe.”

The suspects were interviewed on suspicion of a range of offences including possession of class A drugs with intent to supply and have been released on police bail to allow for further police enquiries.
