FLINT, Mich. (WNEM) – Six people have been arrested following a traffic stop where Flint Police recovered several guns and drugs believed to be connected to gang related activity.

Police said in the early evening hours of Sunday, Jan. 11th, Officers Forystek, Friend, and K9 Kyper observed a recently stolen car pull into a closed business on North Saginaw Street. After the passengers exited and later returned to the car, police conducted a traffic stop, taking all six into custody.

Police searched the building, where officers found multiple guns and drugs.

Based on the evidence recovered, police believe the activity is gang related, and could possibly be connected to a recent shooting.

The six arrested were lodged at the Genesee County Jail on several felony charges and outstanding warrants, according to police.
