Windsor police execute ninth raid on downtown magic mushroom dispensary, seizing crystal meth, LSD and psilocybin products.

Windsor police executed their ninth search warrant at a downtown magic mushroom dispensary on January 30, seizing a range of illegal drugs, including crystal methamphetamine and LSD, alongside psilocybin products.

Officers from the Windsor Police Drugs and Guns Unit (DIGS) carried out the raid at the shop on Ouellette Avenue and recovered meth, various forms of LSD, and numerous psilocybin items such as dried mushrooms, gummies, chocolate bars and capsules, with the total street value of the drugs estimated at approximately $13,368.

During the operation, a 35-year-old employee present at the scene was charged with possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking and trafficking in a controlled substance. Inspector David DeLuca of the Windsor Police Service noted that the seizure illustrates the dangers associated with unregulated sales of controlled substances and highlighted that this was the ninth warrant executed at this location as police pursue legal avenues to address ongoing illicit activity tied to the business.

Law enforcement’s action underscores continued efforts to enforce drug laws and disrupt the distribution of illegal substances in the Windsor area.
