Crypto exchange Gemini will exit the UK market, moving user accounts to withdrawal-only mode starting March 5.

Gemini, the cryptocurrency exchange founded by Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss, has announced it will cease operations in the United Kingdom and shift all UK customer accounts into a withdrawal-only mode starting March 5, 2026.
Under the transition plan, users will no longer be able to trade or make new deposits after March 5 and are advised to withdraw their crypto and fiat balances by April 6, 2026, when UK operations are scheduled to close completely.
Gemini has recommended that clients transfer assets to external wallets or use a partner platform such as eToro to assist with offboarding. The exchange also urged customers to cancel any recurring orders and begin unstaking assets well before the deadlines.
The move comes amid broader restructuring at Gemini, which includes scaling back international operations and focusing on core markets like the U.S. and Singapore, while also navigating regulatory changes in regions such as the UK.
