Edmonton Police say they seized more than $1 million in illegal drugs. Including fentanyl, heroin and cocaine and multiple prohibited firearms in a major bust.

Edmonton Police Service (EPS) officers have seized more than $1 million worth of illegal drugs and prohibited firearms in a significant drug trafficking investigation that began in June 2025, police say.
According to EPS, the operation started after officers were alerted to a large quantity of suspected narcotics and weapons at a short-term rental property. A search revealed over five kilograms of fentanyl, as well as substantial quantities of heroin and cocaine and related drug trafficking supplies.
In addition to the drugs, police recovered 12 prohibited handguns, a prohibited assault rifle and more than 1,000 rounds of ammunition, with the firearms and ammo believed to have a street value exceeding $100,000.
Further searches at two other addresses in December 2025 led to the seizure of an additional approximately $500,000 worth of fentanyl, methamphetamine and cocaine, along with about $70,000 in cash, Edmonton police said.
Two individuals, 31-year-old Richard O’Connor-Larmond and 31-year-old Manal Fawaz have been charged in connection with the investigation. O’Connor-Larmond faces multiple counts including possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, producing a controlled substance and possession of firearms for the purpose of trafficking, while Fawaz is charged with possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking.
Police said the investigation reflects a sustained effort to disrupt serious and organised crime in the Edmonton area and remove harmful drugs and illegal weapons from the community.
