Police raid in Calverton seizes heroin, cocaine, cannabis, cash and arrests two suspects on suspicion of drug supply after executing a warrant.

Police in Nottinghamshire Police have seized a large quantity of illegal drugs and cash following a targeted raid in the village of Calverton. Officers executed a warrant on Broom Road early on Wednesday (18 February), forcing entry to a property as part of efforts to disrupt local drug supply activity.
At the address, officers discovered Class A drugs including heroin and cocaine, as well as significant amounts of cannabis, cannabis edibles and magic mushrooms. Equipment commonly associated with drug dealing was also recovered. Alongside the drugs, detectives found bundles of cash and valuable items believed to be linked to illegal sales.
A 37-year-old man inside the home was arrested on suspicion of being involved in the supply of both Class A and Class B drugs. Shortly after, officers stopped a vehicle in Woodborough and arrested a 32-year-old woman in connection with the inquiry. Searches of the vehicle led to further cash and a mobile phone being seized.
During additional enquiries, police also located more cocaine, cannabis, ketamine and magic mushrooms in another car parked on Broom Road. Both suspects remain in custody as inquiries continue.
Sergeant Alison Riley, of the Gedling Central neighbourhood policing team, described the operation as intelligence-led and said uncovering evidence of a large-scale and lucrative drugs business was a positive outcome for the community. She added that tackling drug supply remains a priority and that police will continue to conduct warrants and proactive enforcement whenever there is suspicion of properties being used as drug dens.
