A 40-year-old father in Tallaght is jailed for four years after Gardaí find nearly €100,000 worth of cocaine and heroin at his home and shed.

A 40-year-old father of four from Westpark in Tallaght has been sentenced to four years in prison after being convicted of storing nearly €100,000 worth of cocaine at his home, Judge at the Dublin Circuit Criminal Court heard.
On 18 November 2022, members of the Garda Síochána executed a planned search of the defendant’s residence, uncovering a large quantity of cocaine in several locations, including the kitchen, bedroom and a garden shed. Most of the drugs valued at approximately €99,169 were seized from the shed.
Investigators also found mixing agents, weighing scales and €64 worth of heroin during the search, evidence prosecutors said pointed to possession of drugs for sale or supply.
In court, the man accepted full responsibility for the stash and told Gardaí he was holding the cocaine as part of a deal to reduce his personal drug debt.
The sentencing reflects the seriousness with which Irish courts treat the possession of controlled drugs with intent to supply, especially in cases involving large quantities stored in residential premises.
