DEA announces 10 defendants sentenced in Indiana federal court for trafficking fentanyl, methamphetamine and cocaine in multi-county ring.

The U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and federal partners have secured lengthy prison sentences for ten defendants convicted of trafficking large quantities of fentanyl, methamphetamine and cocaine across multiple counties in the Southern District of Indiana, a DEA press release says.
Federal prosecutors in Indianapolis announced the sentences after a multi-county investigation uncovered a drug distribution network that moved significant amounts of dangerous narcotics, including fentanyl pills, crystal meth and cocaine, through communities such as Indianapolis, Muncie, Terre Haute and surrounding areas.
According to court records, the defendants conspired to distribute controlled substances in violation of federal law, contributing to the availability of highly potent opioids and stimulants linked to overdoses and community harm. Sentences handed down by the U.S. District Court ranged from decades behind bars for the ringleaders to substantial terms for lower-level participants, reflecting the scale and reach of the trafficking operation.
Investigators said the group moved at least 108 kilograms of methamphetamine, 4 kilograms of fentanyl and 6 kilograms of cocaine, based on evidence presented during prosecution. Officers also recovered tens of thousands of fentanyl pills, ammunition and cash during coordinated search warrants executed as part of the probe.
The case underscores ongoing federal efforts often involving DEA, U.S. Attorney’s Offices, and other agencies to disrupt organised drug networks distributing synthetic opioids, stimulants and other illicit drugs that contribute to public safety crises nationwide
