Indian authorities dismantled a darknet drug network tied to European suppliers, seizing LSD, MDMA and other narcotics.

Indian authorities have dismantled a nationwide drug trafficking network that used darknet platforms and encrypted communication tools to distribute synthetic narcotics across the country, officials said.
The operation, carried out by India’s Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), led to the arrest of two suspects linked to an online vendor operating under the name “Team Kalki.” Investigators say the group maintained connections with international darknet suppliers in several European countries, including the Netherlands, Poland, and Germany.
During the investigation, authorities seized 2,338 LSD blotters, 160 MDMA pills, around 3.6 kilograms of liquid MDMA, as well as additional quantities of charas and amphetamine. Some of the intercepted drug parcels originated from overseas shipments, including consignments traced back to the Netherlands.
Officials said the network relied heavily on darknet marketplaces and encrypted messaging platforms to coordinate transactions. Customers placed orders through anonymous online channels, while payments were processed using cryptocurrencies to obscure financial trails and avoid detection.
After receiving orders, the suspects allegedly arranged for the drugs to be packaged and shipped through courier and parcel services to buyers in different parts of India. Authorities believe the operation had a pan-India distribution network and used sophisticated methods to evade law-enforcement monitoring.
Investigators also revealed that the two accused had previously served time in Delhi’s Tihar Jail in separate drug trafficking cases. According to officials, they met during their incarceration and later collaborated to launch the darknet drug operation after their release.
The bust highlights the growing role of darknet marketplaces and encrypted communication platforms in international drug trafficking. Law-enforcement agencies say the investigation is ongoing as authorities work to identify additional collaborators and overseas suppliers connected to the network.
