Four Arrested in Dark Web Drug Case in Indiana


Four people were arrested in Indiana after police say an 18-year-old bought drugs on the dark web and distributed them locally.

Authorities in Indiana have arrested four people following an investigation into narcotics allegedly purchased through the dark web and distributed locally.

The Fulton County Sheriff’s Office announced the arrests after investigators linked an 18-year-old suspect to drug purchases made online through darknet marketplaces.

According to investigators, Tristin Shell, 18, of Rochester, Indiana, allegedly purchased illegal narcotics through the dark web and later distributed them across Fulton County.

Shell is facing multiple charges, including:

  • Dealing Methamphetamine (Level 2 felony)
  • Possession of Methamphetamine (Level 3 felony)
  • Dealing a Controlled Substance (Level 4 felony)
  • Maintaining a Common Nuisance (Level 6 felony)
  • Possession of a Controlled Substance
  • Possession of Marijuana
  • Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

During the investigation, officers executed a search warrant at a Rochester residence, where they discovered several types of suspected narcotics.

Authorities reported seizing:

  • Around 28 grams of suspected methamphetamine
  • Prescription pills
  • Suspected psilocybin mushrooms
  • Marijuana
  • Drug paraphernalia

The investigation also led to the arrest of three additional suspects:

  • April Lockridge
  • Lyndon Swanson
  • Heather Shell

All three were charged with Maintaining a Common Nuisance, while Lockridge also faces an additional possession of a controlled substance charge.

Authorities say the case highlights how darknet marketplaces continue to be used to obtain illegal drugs that are later distributed in local communities. Investigations into the case remain ongoing.
