The trio were charged after meth and cocaine were seized as part of a joint-police investigation that began last fall.

Three people have been charged after police seized about $300,000 worth of drugs in Tiny Township and York Region.
Police began a drug trafficking investigation in the fall of 2024. On Thursday, search warrants were executed simultaneously at homes Tiny Township and York Region. Also, a vehicle stop was conducted in Springwater Township as part of the investigation.
Police seized “multiple kilograms” of suspected cocaine and crystal methamphetamine, as well as “items consistent with the sale and trafficking of drugs,” including cellphones, money, digital scales, and a vacuum sealer, Southern Georgian Bay OPP said in a news release.
Timothy Lemay, 33, of Tiny, has been charged with the following:
- Trafficking in a Schedule 1 substance (other drugs)
- Possession of a Schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking (cocaine)
- Possession of a Schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking (methamphetamine)
- Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5,000
Brent Belanger, 55, of Tiny, has been charged with the following:
- Possession of a Schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking (cocaine)
- Possession of a Schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking (methamphetamine)
- Possession of a Schedule 1 substance (cocaine)
Abas Shire, 33, of Brampton, has been charged with the following:
- Possession of a Schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking (cocaine)
- Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5,000
- Failure to comply with a probation order
Lemay and Belanger were held in custody pending a bail hearing Friday. Shire was released on an undertaking with a future court date.
