Around €1M worth of meth hidden in an oven seized at Luxembourg Airport cargo centre in April 2026 investigation.

Authorities in Luxembourg have seized a large shipment of methamphetamine worth more than €1 million after discovering the drugs concealed inside an oven at the country’s main airport cargo hub.
The operation took place on April 23, 2026, during a targeted inspection at the cargo centre of Luxembourg Airport. Customs officials uncovered approximately 90kg of methamphetamine hidden within the internal compartment of a transported oven, with the narcotics further secured in specialized packaging.
Investigators believe the shipment originated in South America and was transiting through Luxembourg en route to a destination outside Europe. The scale and concealment method suggest involvement from an organised trafficking network using international logistics routes.
Following the discovery, the drugs were confiscated under orders from the public prosecutor’s office, which has since launched an investigation to identify those responsible for the shipment and its intended recipients.
The seizure highlights Luxembourg’s role as a transit point in global drug trafficking operations, with authorities increasingly intercepting large-scale shipments passing through the airport’s cargo facilities.
