Federal prosecutors indicted 12 alleged Crown Hill Enterprise members in Indianapolis on racketeering and violent crime charges.

Federal prosecutors have indicted 12 alleged members and associates of the violent Indianapolis street gang known as the Crown Hill Enterprise on federal racketeering, drug trafficking, firearms, and murder-related charges.
The indictment, unsealed on May 22, 2026, alleges the defendants operated a criminal enterprise responsible for murders, attempted murders, armed robberies, narcotics trafficking, witness intimidation, and firearms offences throughout Indianapolis. Prosecutors said the organization used violence to maintain control over territory and retaliate against rival gangs.
According to court documents, the Crown Hill Enterprise allegedly operated primarily on the west side of Indianapolis and engaged in coordinated criminal activity over several years. Investigators said members distributed fentanyl, methamphetamine, heroin, cocaine, and marijuana while also committing acts of violence tied to gang disputes and drug trafficking operations.
Prosecutors allege gang members used social media, music videos, and online messaging platforms to promote the enterprise, intimidate rivals, and coordinate criminal activity. Investigators also accused members of possessing illegal firearms, including machine gun conversion devices commonly referred to as “switches.”
The investigation was led by the FBI Indianapolis Field Office alongside the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, the Drug Enforcement Administration, and other federal and local agencies. Authorities said the case forms part of broader federal initiatives targeting violent gangs and organised crime groups operating across the United States.
If convicted on the racketeering conspiracy charges, several defendants could face life imprisonment. Federal prosecutors stated that the investigation remains ongoing and additional arrests or charges may follow.
