Florida Couple Indicted on Meth, Fentanyl Charges

A Florida couple faces federal drug charges after authorities allegedly found methamphetamine, fentanyl and firearms in Escambia County.

A federal grand jury has indicted a Florida couple on drug trafficking charges after investigators allegedly discovered methamphetamine, fentanyl and firearms during a search in Escambia County, federal authorities announced on June 17.

Andre Darrell Perry, 37, of Pensacola, and Loredano Alessandra Bassolino, 38, of Navarre, were each charged with possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine and fentanyl, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Florida.

Perry faces additional firearms-related charges. Prosecutors allege he possessed a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime and illegally possessed a firearm as a convicted felon.

The indictment stems from an investigation led by the Drug Enforcement Administration with assistance from local law enforcement agencies. Authorities have not disclosed the quantities of narcotics allegedly seized or additional details surrounding the investigation.

Court records show the case is scheduled for trial on Aug. 17, 2026, before U.S. District Judge T. Kent Wetherell II.

Federal prosecutors emphasized that an indictment is merely an allegation and that both defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in court.

The case is being prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Alicia H. Forbes and remains under investigation.
