365kg Cocaine Hidden in Shipment Leads to Arrests

Four suspects arrested after 365kg of cocaine was found hidden in a household shipment from Curaçao to the Netherlands.

Rotterdam, NL , April 25, 2026 – Dutch authorities have arrested four suspects after uncovering a major cocaine shipment concealed inside household goods transported from Curaçao to the Netherlands.

The drugs were discovered on April 4, 2026, during a customs inspection at the Port of Rotterdam. Officers found approximately 365 kilograms of cocaine hidden inside a shipping container filled with personal belongings, believed to be part of a relocation shipment.

Key individuals involved

  • 29-year-old woman – Suspected of involvement in importing the shipment
  • Three men (ages 29, 38, and 44) – Allegedly linked to the same operation
  • All four suspects were born in Curaçao and are believed to be connected to the importation of the drugs

Following the discovery, investigators tracked the shipment to a residential address in Lochem. On April 22, 2026, police arrested the four suspects while they were unloading the container at the property.

The suspects appeared before a magistrate on April 24, who ordered them to remain in custody for at least 14 additional days as the investigation continues.

Authorities confirmed the case is being handled by the HARC team a joint task force involving customs, financial investigators, port police, and prosecutors specializing in large-scale drug trafficking cases.

The seizure is part of a broader crackdown on trafficking routes between the Caribbean and Europe. Officials noted that the 365kg haul adds to an earlier discovery of approximately 1,400 kilograms of cocaine found in multiple containers from the same shipment route earlier in April.

All seized narcotics have since been destroyed, and authorities say further arrests are possible as the investigation develops.
